Who builds on a Fred?

I'm looking for info on motor homes built on Freightliner's FRED chassis and I need a little help. Which manufacturers are using that chassis? I don't even see it on the Tiffin website.
  • Winnebago and Fleetwood made prototypes on FRED. Found online post that said Tiffin no longer builds on it. Instead, they have their own custom chassis. They did manufacturer some around 2006-2009 Allegro Bays.

  • Fleetwood make the Bounder Classic Diesel as a FRED.

Winnebago make the Via on the Sprinter chassis although that might not be exactly what you are looking for.

I suspect there are others but offhand I can't think of any.
  • I think I answered my own question. I can find no one that builds on Freightliner Fred. Thor is offering a front engine diesel, but the chassis is built by Workhorse with a MaxxForce engine.

    Allegro Bay 2007, 2008, 2009.
  • I'm curious as to why you want one over a more more conventional DP. Try as I might, I just can't see any significant benefits. Keeping an open mind though and willing to learn.
