We used a product called Sunblocker on the front windshield, it is a film like the ole photogrey glasses that changes to darker the more sun that shines on it. I use it on my pickup as well as the RV. Their is a definate reduction in the amount of heat inside the RV. It is legal here in South Carolina and my tint guy charged me $200 for the pickup, and $300 for our RV.
