Winegard Road Trip SDI in motion satellite problems

I have an 07 Coachmen Cross Country with the In motion Winegard Road Trip SDI system. Last trip out everything worked fine, getting it ready head out for tailgating season and the system will not pick up any signals. The receiver works fine in the house, but take it out to the rv and it gets nothing. have tried several times to get it to work. You can hear the lnb turning in the dome and it stops like it is picking up signal and then moves on but it never picks up anything. I'm thinking the lnb may have went out, but that's just my guess. not sure what else to check. Hope someone can give me some leads as to what may be wrong, Any info is greatly appreciated.
  • The receiver model is important. It is also likely set wrong in the Satellite Setup routine if you use it with a home antenna and move it to the RV. You will need to check the setup routine to ensure the receiver is set to 18" round antenna and the switch type is Multiswitch and NOT SWM.
  • I have had mine act flakey at times. When it would not lock, I used the menu to watch signal strength and it would find a good signal, but the a few seconds later, it would move and begin the search sounds again. If I was stationary, I could cut the power to the antenna at the switch while it was showing good signal strength (had to be quick) and I had great reception. Of course, it was not functioning as in motion. Later, at another location it worked normallly. I am at a loss to explain and this has happened a couple of times out west.
  • the receiver is a standard home receiver I use in my garage. I move it to the RV whenever we travel. It still works fine in the garage, but will not pick up anything in the RV. And it is a Directv system.
  • The SDi antenna is VERY old and it could easily be an end of life event. You only have a few months left before the antenna is not able to receive the full DTV line up but the good news is that what ever line-up you can receive will be in HD. Yep, DTV and HD with a dome! Coming in early 2020.
Forget about post about the battery. That's not the problem.
Does that receiver work at home or is it an RV receiver only? Certainly possible the receiver died but also possible the antenna/LNB died. Do you / can you connect the receiver to a standard home antenna?

x2 - battery should be at full or nearly full strength
