Winnebago Sunstar experiences.

We are looking at a new Winnebago Itasca Sunstar 26HE 2016. We had a great test drive and we like all the features. Now we would like to hear about any experience other have had with this model or similar models. Would love to hear the good, bad or ugly before our signature goes on the offer. Thanks in advance.
  • Just hit 800 miles, 3 trips on our 27N. MPG low 7.4 high 10.2.
Did 3 mountain passes no heating issues, ample power, only issue so far are the Kwikee steps not extending fully. Very comfortable and easy to setup compared to the 5er.

Great info. Is the MPGs towing?

Thinks for the link. I sounds like WINNEBAGO has QC issues. I was hoping they were ahead of the other manufacturers. But it looks like they are letting the customer deal with their shortcomings. I might stay away from WINNEBARGO.

I have not had any personal experience myself with one, however I know people with these and they like them very much. They really like how they drive and think the features are very practical.

I think people harbor an impression of Winnie that no longer exists. They used to make a very nice coach. Now they make what I would consider the same level of quality as any other entry level. It's quantity over quality. The issue with Winnie is that they still don't move a lot on pricing and comparing comparable models from other brands you can save a lot of money elsewhere. The Quality at this level is splitting hairs between brands. IMHO. Many may disagree and that's the beauty of free economy. I will say this, you may get an awesome Winnie one day and a lemon the next. Just like every other brand out there. There is no such thing as QC in the MH world - in any production brand. You gotta pay big bucks to get something of decent quality.

I am in full agreement with you comments. Thanks
