Winnebago Vista 27N - Cargo Capacity?

Spec sheets are right here on the Winnebago Site. Although they don't usually list the dry weight due to that being different for every vehicle depending on option content.

I'd be interested in the UVW as well.

I am not really finding a typical UVW or Empty Weight listed in the specs of almost any Class A or Class C - from low end to million dollar DP units.

GVWR, GCWR and Axle Loads are about all the weights I can find.

These vehicles are subject to similar weight reporting regulations as those for cars and trucks. The Vista Manualshows the "Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity" label required for all Class A units on page 1-3. The carrying capacity is dependent on what options are included, so you won't find a "general" UVW value

Note that there is an additional label required if the anything weighing more than 100 pounds is added by the dealer. The regulations are pretty tight!

I have found the OCCC's for the coaches I am interested in by looking at the labels in the actual units. If you can't find a 27N nearby, you might be able to get the information from Winnebago if you specify the options.

Any of you owners of a 27N care to post what your label says? While it is true that all of the labels will depend on exact options, it would give a general idea. Thanks in advance for the info.

We just looked at one at an RV show here is October. If you call the number below, you might be able to find a sales rep go out on their lot and get you your information. You are looking for the Vista WFE-27N correct? The Itasca SunStar IFE-27N is almost exactly the same. They had several of both of them in October.

You of course would have to look at a weight sticker to be sure, but if we compare GVWR and to a comparably sized E450 based C, I think you can virtually guarantee you will have excellent cargo and passenger weight capacity with the smaller Vistas. The F53 chassis has a GVWR that exceeds the E450 by 3500 pounds. Although the Vista may have a higher UVW than a comparably sized C, I doubt it could be by much. I would say the Vista has a weight capacity of at least 3000 pounds.

I have the Itasca Sunstar 27N (same as the Vista 27N). The tag under the drivers side window states: The combined weight of occupants and cargo must never exceed 2906 lbs. A full load of water = 674 lbs of cargo. With a GVWR of 18,000lbs that would make the UVW approx. 15,100lbs, this would include a full tank of fuel.

Thanks for posting this. It helps me.... Does not seem to be much concern in regards to overloading for us. Rarely travel with more than a few gallons of fresh, empty holding tanks. I'll just have to tell the wife not to load up on rocks. RIP Lucy.
