Work done at dealership

IF you want your tires checked. GO DO IT YOURSELF, YOU THINK IT IS QUICK AND FREE?????????????? If it is so simple and quick how hard is it to do it yourself????? Well, I will tell you. At our dealership, Towables are free. It only takes less than 5 minutes to air up 4 or 6 trailer tires. Motorhome tires? Different animal. I have our shop compressor set at 175 psi 50 gallon tank. When I air up Motorhome tires, the rule of thumb is 1 MINUTE per 10 psi fill. That way I do not keep stopping and checking the air pressure. Usually, you guys have 20 to 30 lbs BELOW the set pressure. For some reason air in your tires is a forgotten habit. So, If I need to air up 6 tires 20 lbs, that equals 15 minutes minimum. usually 20 minutes by the time you go all around. We normally charge 1/2 hour labor which would be about $65. You cannot compare Auto tire filling with motorhome filling. Sorry, but do it yourself or pay for someone else to do it. Don't complain. People at dealerships need to be paid also for their time. Next time you fill up the Fuel tank fill the tire then. Oh Yeah, It might take 20 or 30 minutes and YOUR time is valuable. NOT MINE. Doug
