Actually I too thought it seemed a bit grosss but after emptying one a couple times it wasn't so bad really. Certainly can't be any worse than dealing with a stinky slinky and the resulting mess that can happen with that if your not careful. Never dealt with one of those, just seems worse to me for some reason.
