- Super_DaveExplorerThere are subtle things that can tweak an existing recipe. I use a mix of Yukon Gold and red potatoes for my summer potato salads.
- sdianel_-acct_cExplorerPotatoes, boiled eggs, onion, sweet pickle relish, mayo and about a teaspoon of mustard, salt pepper. We don't have an exact recipe, we like a bit more onion and less pickle so that's how we make it.
- Super_DaveExplorerCome October, I love having a good, warm German potato salad with a good amount of vinegar. I'm not sure why I don't have it other times of the year.
- fla-gypsyExplorerI'm kind of a purist on this and don't like a lot of the additions that are common now on what is supposed to feature the lowly potato in all it's glory. I am cetain my wife has no real recipe but it is done strictly from memory and a bowl of that stuff fresh from the mixing bowl is perfection.
- Big_KatunaExplorer IIWe add sour cream and a tsp or two of mustard.
- Wishbone51ExplorerThis is my favorite potato salad recipe of all time:
http://simplygloria.com/creamy-potato-salad-with-bacon/
It's a red potato salad with dill and a pound of bacon. It doesn't have mustard or pickles, which makes potato salads all taste the same. I always get requests for this for family get togethers. - lots2seeinmyrvExplorerI make a red potato salad with chopped celery, Hellman's mayo, salt, pepper and sprinkle a little dry dill in it. Mix well.
