- bigred1cavExplorer1/2 slice of garlic bologna, big slice of onion, swiss or other cheese, mustard, mayo etc
Fry the balony until nearly burned, melt cheese on top, fry the onion until soft.
Put on a large pretzel or kaiser bun add the spices you like, get a beer and some german potato salad and eat like a bavarian king. - Fish__n___GritsExplorerI was wading from a duck blind and stepped in a hole which caused me to fall on my face in water that was about 1 degree from ice. When I gathered myself up and got back to the bank, I came to an old Airstream some guys were using for a duck camp. They had a big fire going and I asked if I could warm up for a minute. They were cooking breakfast and handed me a plate of fried bologna, eggs and grits. Best thing I've ever tasted! That was 50 years ago, and I'm still eating fried bologna, grits and eggs, cholesterol be damned!
- Super_DaveExplorerMy market's deli counter sells a "garlic balogna". Fried with some spicey mustard on toast makes a great sandwich.
- jjjandrbakerExplorerNever saw her do it, but my mother used to pickle cubes of it. It was sweet and garlicky. Don't remember her doing anything elaborate. Probably just threw it in the icebox for a few days.
- kmbernsteinExplorerMy mother in law use to make a dish she called wurst salad. Chop up a chub or ring bologna into 1/2-1 inch chunks. Add finely chopped onion. Mix a vinegar and oil dressing with a little sugar. Cover. Let set overnight. Eat with fresh chunks of bread. Love it.

I saw him make this on his old show. People were ready to pass out. I would try it, but I'm afraid I will like it! - SWMOExplorerMy dad would buy slices about 1" thick and grill while adding BBQ sauce until they were well cooked. They were very good.
- the_bear_IIExplorerMy DW takes a chub of bologna and grinds it in the food processor along with relish, mustard and mayo....instant sandwich spread. Very tasty.
- bobsallyhExplorer IIFried Lebanon Baloney sandwiches. OK to add cheese, but other than that you just don't screw with Lebanon Baloney.
- RoyFExplorerAs a college student 50 years ago, about all I lived on was burned bologna sandwiches. Brings back great memories.
