I have flat, rectangular plastic containers with lids & I cook @home & make meal helpers for the road. Containers stack perfectly in the freezer. Meatballs, beef roast chunks with gravy, homemade soup. Dollar Stores have these containers in 3 or 4 packs. Cant recall the brand, but the lids are red. I use freezer bags too & make double at home so I have half to freeze. I keep a list so I know where I am in preparations.
Canned chicken (tuna size can) makes great fresh chicken salad with a little “doctoring” up with diced celery. You’ll never be hungry if you have hard boiled eggs & cooked rice or cooked potatoes in the refrigerator - great meal starters.
