I have not had a problem peeling eggs since I settled on a method, one of many guaranteeing success, that is simply boiling them and then a plunge in ice water. Works every time for me and ended decades of frustration.
Boil 12 minute and then immediately into ice water.
That's similar to what I do, with a twist; there is a youtube video with that method, but the guy starts first with boiling water and boils for 13 minutes exactly, then put in ice bath for about 5 minutes or so and then peel right away. I've tried it about a dozen times with fresh or older eggs about a dozen times and it works every time. The shells come right off. I think starting with the boiling water is one of the keys, along with peeling right after the ice bath.
our eggs come right from under the hen and this method results in a clean peel every time.
