Grating Eggs for Egg Salad.

Here is a little Trick I learned in the Military. One Day when I was in Germany I was Grating Eggs using a hand Grater, One of my Mess Seargeants walked by and said, let me show you a better Way. He got a French Fry Basket and pushed the Eggs through the Wires on the Basket, They came out exactly the same and I did not have to worry about hitting my Nuckles on the Cheese Grater.
  • I use an egg slicer. One way, then turn 90 degrees.




    I tried Alton Brown's method of baking eggs at 320F for 30 minutes. OK, but did end up scorching the towel (!) and I'm not convinced they peel any easier. Next time I may do in the muffin pan (as his earlier method recommended). They did come out nice and "fluffy" though.
