We go to Dollar tree, like darsben. We get the qt. boxes. In fact, when they have it in stock, I try to buy a case. I think the name is Gossner milk. Chill a qt. at a time. Good, looong after the use by date, if kept out of the extreme heat. terry r.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We no longer have the 5er. Didn't want to admit it but we are going without the camper. We bad!

Milk freezes and thaws fine. One carton can be in the frig while others remain frozen until needed.

In the fridge, it keeps just fine since they are built to operate under way.

Why does milk have to be the only liquid to be poured on cereal? My wife and I prefer certain juices. Our favorite for cereal is Kern's apricot nectar. (Don't look for it at Walmart, but you can find it at most major supermarkets.) Mango juice is also good. For travel, we take juice in the small cans (6 or 12 ounces), which will keep almost indefinitely.
