We've done this often when the GK's are around to make smores. It does them quick.

We also got thisCampco Grill Table Folds up nicely and is so convenient to have.

I have a Smokey Joe in our camper, but I'm also looking at getting a Holland Grills Companion. I use a full size Holland and home and love it and have used someone else's Companion on a trip. They cook very nice, no flare ups. Hard to beat taste of cooking on charcoal, though. I like the looks of that Lodge charcoal grilll someone posted here, but it looks HEAVY! I already have about 100# of cast iron in the TT with two dutch ovens and a few skillets!

speaking of the chimneys. Wife is out of town and only you, You buy a filet or as I prefer a chuck eye for dinner. Oh you also have to like your meat rare.

I bought the chimney and weber kettle, used it for a year but kept my gasser. After a year I gave away the gasser and haven't missed it once.

I timed the chimney yesterday for some burgers. 25 minutes from lighting the charcoal to putting the burgers on. I don't ever want a lifestyle that 15 extra minutes will break the bank.

As for lump, I love it for low and slow bbq and won't use anything else. I also like lump for really hot fire to sear. If just grilling chicken or sausages I find briquettes fine for my taste as long as you let it completely ash over.
