Induction quality

Hi,

I hope you will be overjoyed by the new cook top. Please do give us a review or two once you have some cooking under your belt.

Does it plug into a standard 15 amp outlet?

Does the "exact" temperature go by 1 degree at a time? If not, how many power levels are there?

Sure understand you not purchasing another Nuwave. I have one that is working fine and hope it continues. I purposely purchased it from BB&B because of the no time limit on returns (also used a 20% off coupon). I saved the box with the receipt taped to it which I hope I don't have to use as I really like the burner.

First nuwave made a popping sound when I plugged it in at the stix and brix. Deader than a door nail.
Second started showing e7 (over heating) error message after a couple minutes use. Fan was working. Both about a year old.

Are any induction units made somewhere other than China??

Never a problem with our NuWave in since 2012...wouldn't be w/o.

We use a Burton and it has been a winner, we bought ours on line and got it for a reasonable price. good luck

Ours quit working gave some kind of a fault number when you turnedit on. Took it apart and foundthatthe fan was not working. Apparently thebottom vent had become hot and brittle and when the better half picked it up the plastic broke and prevented the fan from turning. Removed this anditisworking again. We enjoy ours so far.

It's important to know what is failing and where. If it's in your RV it could a surge problem. Many RV parks seem to have electrical problems, some that mostly effect electronics. The big problem with electronics is knowing whether or not the manufacturer built in any protection.
If this is in your home it might be the only device without protection that is left on and powered up.

My nu waves have been working for a couple of years. They will not run on my modified sine wave inverter. Nice to be able to move them around the counter to optimize work space.

I love the Nuwave because of the ability to change temperatures by 10 F.

How old were your units?

I suspect they require good voltage, just as an air conditioner does.
