Hello everyone, I am trying to figure out a "fairly" easy way of making this...as in one dish that will be easy to clean up in the trailer. I have been making this at home for quite some time and also I fry up some smoked sausage with it. So I am fixin pasta in one pan and in a smaller pan I fix the spaghetti sauce. So I am trying to figure out if I can make the sauce in a microwavable bowl or should I try to fix it in the same pot as I fix the pasta in. Separate pots, microwave will blow top of sauce.

When I fix spaghetti, I always cook spaghetti, any meat going in and then after pasta is drained, I add the sauce, meat and then make sure it is all hot again. I serve with Romano/Parmesan cheese sprinkled on the top and put cheeses on the table for anyone who wants more. I have never prepared the sauce in a separate pan or served it separately.

There are microwave pots made for rice that work just as well for pasta. Walmart used to carry them.This is the one we have.Microwave Rice/Pasta Cooker

I have something called, 'Fasta Pasta'. It's a rectangular, plastic container that will cook pasta, noodles, rice, etc. in the microwave. It is a lot faster, uses less water, and doesn't steam up the trailer. Very efficient for the RV.

I make spaghetti in the crock pot. Mix up your favorite homemade sauce recipe and simmer all day. Or I suppose you could use jarred sauce and heat until good and warm. About an hour before you're ready to eat, turn crock pot to high and add spaghetti. I break the spaghetti in half (maybe thirds if you're using a smaller crock pot) and stir well to make sure it's all coated with sauce. It works great. Of course all crock pots are different, so it may take more or less time for the spaghetti to reach the desired texture.

That's what I do also. I never dirty a pan unless I have to .

Hi believe it or not I just did this this past weekend I usually grill while camping but it was so windy and I was by myself so I did the spaghetti in a box and all I did was boiled water in one pan and I had a small pan I used to make the sauce and once done combined in a bowl and dinner was served....

We always cook our marinara separately and freeze it. Then we defrost and heat on 50% in the mw with a lid in place to avoid Vesuvius recreations.

I would reheat by adding a small amount of water in dish/ziplock bag in microwave, or dipping in pan of hot water but would use microwave to keep from messing up another pan if you can. Definately wouldn't overcook it but it will depend on how you plan on warming in.

I can't use this mix anymore due to DH salt intake limits :-( but when I make pasta and have leftovers, I just freeze it in a ziplock bag and reheat by either above methods mentioned after letting it thaw in fridge. Good luck!
