Should I just quit smoking?

Has anyone made or attempted to turn their oven and or oven space in the TC into a smoker with access from the outside?

The Bradly is a nice product. I caught a lot of flack from the guys when I bought it and to top it off buying the digital blue tooth therm was the nail in the coffin. LOL I quit drinking 5 years ago and dont feel like standing there tending to the smoker for 8 hours like I did when I had a 30 pack on ice sitting next to me.

I looked at the oven yesterday and with out redesigning that entire area it would be hard to fit the smoker in the same foot print and be able to make more then a half rack at a time. I'm going to put it on the back burner for now and will revisit it come the winter. The external mounted smoker has crossed my mind but I need to work on the walls and tighten them up or the first good bump and its going to become road kill.

Your Bradley is the same one I have. love it as long as its warm out when using it. cant use it outside of summer time up here though. I would recommend making an ugly drum smoker for camping and fabbing it to the rear

Thats a great lump, I much prefer using it over a Kingsford product. Ive made my own lump but its it very time consuming and a waste of fuel but when you make it yourself a small piece goes a long way.

Thanks 67, the clean one is new. That may of been the second time I used it. Its my first electric smoker and I destroyed a few good pieces of meat learning how to use it. It cooks much different then lump or wood. I have it under control now. With the electric its a matter of cooking it to 125 degrees then wrapping it tightly in foil and cook it like that until it reaches the desired temp. This locks the moisture in.

I'm going to hold off on the smoker today but I think Ill be digging this thread back up over the winter when I have time to play with it.

I say go for it! The Aussies do stuff like that with their campers. I must say you certainly have a clean smoker. Let me know where you'll be cooking;-)

1. the iGrill on the side of the smoker....I'm not real sure how I functioned without it.
