small countertop convection oven

Our old rig only had a small microwave & no oven. I had bought a toaster / convection oven. I went to Bed Bath & Beyond for the purchase. What I did was check that a round pizza tray would fit in there & a cookie sheet. This way I knew I'd be able to bake what we would want. The one I bought was larger. For storage I put it under the dinette with a towel over it. It also did time outside when the weather would permit. We also used our grill a lot for baking.

Our new rig has the micro/convection & I really like it. I don't experience near the heat from it. Still learning all it can do!

Remember that the sides of the toaster/convection ovens get HOT! And most need space behind for venting when in use.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I figured it would cause the inside to heat up, I was just hoping someone would tell me differently. I like the idea of taking it outside. I think I will get one and do that. We love our rv, but we live in the south and during the summer months our air conditioner can just barely keep it cool during the hot part of the day. I try not to do anything to that can cause extra heat in the interior.

Once you create heat it has to go somewhere.It doesn't matter what kind of oven it is, if it isn't vented to the outside it will heat the inside.
As someone said, a good toaster oven can be used out side.

I cooked a 13 pound turkey one Christmas in my combination microwave/convection oven and it turned out great.

Since the microwave in the house is near the end of its life cycle, I'm thinking about removing the very nice microwave in the RV to the house and purchasing a combination microwave/convection oven for the RV. Anyone have one of those? How well does it brown?

I recently purchased the Black and Decker Toaster Oven for the RV. Best thing about it - it fits under the sink when not in use.

This is the one we use, in our mh and in our house. Heat is not a problem.
This one is digital, with a 2 hour timer. It also has room for a frozen pizza.

A convection oven cooks the same food either faster at the same temperature or in the same time at a lower temperature due to the fan. Either one will reduce the temperature in your RV or at home. They come with a chart that shows the settings.
