treager temp

it is so cold here in eastern Oregon that the temp on the treager is reading low. went out to check the temp and it was a good 20* low so turned it up some to compensate. Sure be glad when we can head south this year. we are having freezing fog today. glad I'm staying home and doing the cooking.

    I have an old blanket that I throw over it. Makes the temps more stable and easier to regulate.

    When it is in the 20s here, I don't leave it on medium too long, but go back to low and cook longer. Remember....low and slow is the key to good smoking, not higher temp.
