Turkey noodle casserole?

Looking for an easy turkey casserole recipe, using either noodles or a box of U.B. wild rice mix. Thanks!

Years ago a friend gave me her recipe for Turkey Tetrazzini...I have used it many times.

Cook an 8 oz pkg thin spaghetti. Place in large buttered baking pan.

Saute a small chopped onion in 2 T butter; add 2 T flour and stir.
Add 1 large can evaporated milk; stir till smooth.
Add some diced pimento and a 3 oz can sliced mushrooms w/liquid.

Add l C shredded Provolone cheese.
Pour mixture over spaghetti and gently combine.

Sprinkle 1/2 C grated Parmesan cheese over top.

    Bake 20 min at 400.

**I sometimes substitute with chicken and I have used Cheddar cheese in the mixture**

Does the turkey or chicken get added?? Chunked ,Sliced, shredded??

OOPS--that should be 3 cups of turkey--bite size pieces. Add it as you add the provolone cheese.
I can't believe I left out the TURKEY! Must be hereditary--my aunt once left out the bananas in one of her banana dishes--not the recipe, the actual dish!!

  • Leftover turkey, cooked noodles, can of cream of chicken soup, cooked peas, american cheese slices in - 3 or 4. Bake at 350 for 1/2 hr - take out and stir melted cheese into casserole. Put back in oven for 15 minutes. Add seasoned bread crumbs or crushed crackers to the top, bake 5 minutes longer - done and good.

You can put different vegetables in if desired.
  • The easiest and simplest according to Herself: make your own white sauce (allrecipes.com has a bunch) and flavor it with your favorite spices. Chunk up the turkey, mix with the noodles and sauce then bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes. You can even put leftover stuffing on as a topping, but we never have leftover stuffing in our house.

Herself says to try turmeric in the sauce with some garlic powder.
