Wood fired pizza oven

I know that these types of cooking devices are not even close to being portable, at least without a special built vehicle, but I'd like to ask any way.

Do any of you have a permanant wood fired pizza oven at you brick and mortar home? I am contemplating building one. Well, I'll build the base and purchase a kit to make the oven.

There are many kinds of foods that can be cooked in a pizza oven. And I'm really thinking I'd like to have one. Any subject comments would be appreciated.

  • Just put the pizza in the oven of a good wood fired kitchen stove. If you keep the bottom of the oven clean you don't need a pan. I don't do pizza but bread is pretty good done that way.
  • I had toyed with the idea for a while. When I found out that proper use required hours of oven heating, I couldn't justify the expense and time for a 4 minute home made pizza. LOL!

Have a look here. We just got back from Italy and they are indeed everwhere.

    plans?

That is really humorous to me. That is the exact company that I've promoted to the top of my list. I really like the Casa2G80. I'm wondering how they work, how much work it is for upkeep, how much it costs to have the base made from blocks, and mortar? Just general info, so I can see if it's in our budget, or not.
