I'm taking Andy to the vet. He has stopped eating and will only drink water, and lots of it. He's still able to get around, up and down stairs, but is clearly not comfortable. Last night he had diarrhea. At this point, I don't know what, if anything can be done. I want to spare him suffering and pain, and hope I make the right decision at the vet's office this morning. It would be really great if this was something totally unrelated to the liver and kidney issues. Thanks to all the forum members for all your support, prayers and kindness during this unfortunate occurrence with Andy.Rita

Andy knew he was loved right up until he peacefully closed his eyes for the last time....it takes a loving person to let go humanely .

I'm so sorry. This is an especially tough time of year to lose somebody you love, but then, there is no easy time. Andy was very loved and well cared for. Thank you for not keeping him past the point when he was enjoying life. Run free at The Bridge, Andy!

We, as their humans, have to make the hardest decision, but we also know it is the best decision for them. My Bailey Boy met him at the Rainbow Bridge. Hugs (( ))
