I missed seeing any Clydesdale commercials in the Super Bowl this year, but there are some amazing commercials using animals now. Subaru has many with dogs driving their cars, Kia or Hyundai are us...

Another thing to consider is that treatments on our animals are often an early step in formulating treatments for people.
The costs are the same for the drugs whether given to animals or people, so if the same drug is used the cost is the same.
I liked the Weather Tech commercial too. There are some amazing studies going on at several veterinary schools, often partially funded by private companies. Morris Animal Foundation (Founder of Hill's ) is currently funding a Golden Retriever lifetime study.
