Does "No Pets" really mean "no pets" or........

I guess I just see it as what happens in my camper is MY business. What happens outside my camper is what they have power over. Yes, there are a million ways to bend and abuse those statements... I do honestly report and pay for the number of humans (and dogs) in my party, but I never reported the 2 hamsters and 4 gerbils that we full-timed with for 6 months. Yes, my DH has had an alcoholic beverage INDOORS in campgrounds that said it wasn't permitted. It was in the fridge while we were on the road, it was in the fridge when we pulled in, and it was in the fridge when we left.

We're just crazy rule-breakers! Watch out! ;)

They don't say "no Dogs" or "no outside pets" because it has become fashionable to parse the English language to make any policy fit each person's particular want or desire. "No Dogs" would mean the park would have to deal with pet llamas, pet pigs, horses and the ubiquitous "it's just a little dog" dog, and every other incantation of a pet. Same with "no outside animals" Every dog would instantly become an indoor pet who only goes out when they think no one is looking.
Our policies now list five different synonyms for tents. We started out with "no tents" over the years we have had to add gazebos, canvas shade structures, screen rooms, sunrooms and pergolas, because people wanted to argue that a tent wasn't really a tent. The same thing would happen if a park left any wiggle room in what pets were or were not allowed. In my opinion, if a park actually said "no pets" I go elsewhere. It isn't like there is a shortage of parks that allow normal pets with normal policies and rules.

Because it means NO PETS. The CG owner put it in their list of restrictions, it's THEIR CG, THEIR PROPERTY. They can restrict what ever they want.

Why IS it so hard for RV'ers to simply follow CG rules. :R

There's 10's of thousands of CG's out there to choose from, just find one that fits your needs instead of trying to camp under the radar for gods sake.

I agree to call the campground - I suspect "no pets" means anything that potties outside or is capable of loud annoying noises (indoor-only dogs or parrots come to mind)... or maybe it DOES mean "nothing outside of human beings" and of course we ALL know someone who we'd gladly trade for a nice quiet pet....LOL!!

WOW............................No pets ................covers almost all outdoor, noisey ,outdoor pets...................I have friends that have a pot belly Pig...............if it just says NO dogs.........................Can they bring their Pot Belly Pig??????

I believe a little COMMON SENSE is in order here....................Wait, Uncommon sense , I mean.........:S

Maybe they also want to ban people bringing their pet alligators and walking them on a leash. After all, haven't you seen people walking their pet alligators and NOT picking up after them!!!!!!!!!! :)
