After spending money on a telescopic fiberglass ramp that was heavy and the Collies did not like I built my own.
I used 3/8 plywood covered with anti slip tape, I reinforced the plywood with 1x2's.
Agree not a good idea to have a aged pet jump in or out of a truck. Collies have got use to the ramp and will wait to get in or out for ramp.
