As soon as she saw the broom, she went into a cower, started shaking and ran into the dining room an hid under the table drawn up in a ball shaking. It took my wife some time to get her calmed down to see she wasn't about to be hit with it.
Oh, the things we discover with rescues.... my Australian Cattle Dog rescue was absolutely fearless, EXCEPT if we had to cross a bridge. Even a road bridge with pavement, induced wild-eyed panic and belly-crawling across it. It took years for this to change into simply walking warily across one.... makes one wonder what THAT was all about.
