Today was an interesting one. We don't get much snow here, but this morning had around 5" when we got up. So I went to take Sahara out. As soon as we stepped out the door, she stopped and I could see she was scared. She then started barking at the snow. I now knew she had never saw snow before. I got her to finally put a paw in it, then take some steps. As we got to the yard, I could see her loosen up, then start to take an interest in the snow.
She started sniffing, then would push it with her nose, and then started biting at it. I let her off leash, and it was on. She would run, stick her nose in the snow, bite and just keep going. She came back to me, and I could see in her face the happiness and joy. We went out a couple of more times and let her enjoy it.
The snow does bring her one issue. She is having trouble finding the right "spot" to use the bathroom. I know in time she will figure it out. Plus, it will only last a couple of days.
