New Foster - Axel

Axel looks like the perfect boy, intelligent with a tad of mischief:) Glad everything worked out for everyone!

Oh yeah, we still have Sunny and Maddie! They're ours, not fosters. We adopted Sunny when we realized that he would probably not get adopted otherwise. He's a work in progress - making baby steps, slowly but surely. He doesn't run away from us very much when we go to pick him up. He still cringes, but works bravely to hold his ground. He enjoys sitting with us on the couch, once picked up; it's just the initial approach that freaks him out. Old habits/fears are hard to overcome, I guess. We've now had him about 3 months, so we're happy with the progress he's made.

He's so beautiful I don't know how anyone could not want him.

Original family decided they didn't like him and put him out on a chain in the yard. :-( He was so skinny and neglected that a neighbor talked the family into letting her have him. The neighbor already had dogs, cats, and kids, and couldn't afford to keep him, so contacted the rescue.

Axel's now landed in a very good place! :-)

Good news for Axel!! I don't know hy anyone would neglect him - he is beautiful

Our daughter's baby is due in two days :B and then we have family coming to visit (and to see the baby, of course), followed by a camping trip in mid July, so we're not going to foster again until at least August or September.

The rescue owner wanted me to foster another dog yesterday - lol - said whatever I touched turned to gold - haha! I told her it's b/c I only took in dogs that had that special quality that said, "adopt me"!

So nice to see them find loving homes!!!!
