Yes, you can keep them exersized on leash. But you can always look at the local area or the park your planning to stay at and see if there are dog parks on prem or nearby you can take them to. That is how I handle my travel, I look for places near or with a dog park area. That allows my dogs the get the off leash time they are used to when on the road. But my pups are also well versed with leashes and tie outs, so at my camp site I just have a tie out for them to use when I just want to sit outside with them and enjoy the campground.
