Me either. I'm rather flabbergasted that so many people consider them a high-energy breed. They're not even in the same zip code with the breeds I'd classify as high energy.
I'd be much more concerned about the logistics of five humans and a large dog in a relatively small RV. It's nice and fun to envision sunny, warm days with everyone spending lots of time outside. But the true test is . . . how would you handle a long rainy spell? Kids cooped up in small space for days, having to take a large hairy dog out in the pouring rain three or four times a day (or more, for a puppy), dealing with the wet fur and mud and muck those big hairy paws are going to bring back in. Can you manage that and keep everybody's sanity intact?
And OP, note I'm truly not trying to talk you out of any of this. But I have learned through experience that when making big decisions it's much more helpful to consider the worst case scenario and decide if you can handle that than it is to assume everything's always going to be best case scenario.
