Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes

Yesterday, or the day before, I watched Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes.
Dakota laid beside the couch with me and seemed to enjoy it.
This evening couldn't find anything else, to watch, so I watched a few minutes of it. Dakota sat beside me taking i all in. I changed it to Steve Martin fishing for big Tuna. he went over in fron of the TV and sat and barked. He's done that a time or two before about some show or other. I turned it baack and he licked my hand and sat down beside me. He glanced my way a time or two and licked my hand.
Huuuuuuummmm! I wonder if he's getting ideas?

  • I like that. Lucie our small dog loves Alvin and the Chipmunks. I dvr'd it so I could run it for her occasionally. She also likes the Farmer Insurance commercials too. Lucky does not care for TV at all.

We had a house guest for a few weeks while he was here breeding one of our females (BJ). My wife forgot about the situation and popped in a DVD to watch. She thought she might see our house guest competing in a sheepdog trial on this DVD. She quickly had to turn off the DVD when our house guest went crazy hearing the voice of his owner during an interview. He sat for hours at a closed door to stairs behind the TV, waiting for his master to come through the door. Poor guy.Mark

  • If he's that intent in watching the TV. I wouldn't let him watch Calvin's favorite program Survivorman. He may start making tents and, or other survival related stuff.

While I wasn't watching, he logged into my Amazon account then ordered a back pack, canteens, flints, couple of his own flashlights, tin foil type of thermo blankets, Bear Grylls knives and machete, rope, and couple of other stuffs! Oh, and it was a good thing I don't have an overdraft deal on that account cause he tried ordering what the new Jason Bourne wears on his wrist, ... an IWC black ceramic chrono watch.

  • Ike, my late Aussie, was a regular TV watcher. If Ed was flipping through the channels and passed The Animal Planet, Ike would whip his head around at Ed with an expectant look on his face that said. "Go back to that, please?!"

He had certain TV commercials that he liked (usually featuring dogs or children)...and he could be sound asleep, but hear the first few notes of a jingle, and he'd jump up and run to the TV to watch...LOL! And he understood what was happening on the screen, because he would react appropriately.

    Smartest dog I've ever owned.
