Tastiest Glucosamine chewable??

We use Dasuquin with MSM. It supposedly tastes like liver. They are a tablet and our boys (both have joint issues) love them.

Every morning after they have breakfast, they come for their "vitamin". Believe me, they know the word.

Our weim has a sensitive tummy and there have never been any side effects. I know they work because if they miss a week, they start limping again. Can't do without it.

I tried Joint Strong a couple years ago and it gave our small dogs diarrhea. Now Rosie is 10 yrs old with an ACL repair job involving a pin in her leg. The vet says he feels a little "gravel" when he moves her operated leg, but that's typical this long after the surgery. Rosie probably really could use the glucosamine. Does anybody know of a formula/product for dogs with sensitive stomachs?

A little milk thistle and sam-e might not come amiss...

So this morning, I give Jack his first dish of Joint Strong - and he loves it. A bit too much, actually :-( The other dogs walked over to see what he was eating and were greeted by bared fangs and snarls - the old food aggression issue is coming back...... (bang head on desk)

We buy encapsulated pills, pull them apart and sprinkle the powder on wet food.
The critters don't even know it's there.

I supposed we could simply jump right to the powder form to begin with LOL

Oooh! Good news!! The Joint Strong arrived, I opened the jar and let Jack take a sniff, and he took a lick, then sniffed eagerly on the floor in case any crumbs had fallen.... HE LIKES IT!!!!! I'm not sure I even need to mix it in anything, I can just let him lick it outof a dish.

It was such a miracle for Tig, after months of trying different things. Nothing will stop time, of course. But I'd been watching her slow down for months and then two or three days of the JS and she was a new dog.

That's the part that's odd, because Jack will eat anything. Or used to, at least. I doubt I'll see Jack frisking around, because his speed now is a slow shuffle, mostly due to poor eyesight - and he's on borrowed time anyway due to biting and other "issues" that had been dormant for over a decade. He's due for his rabies shot - and I'll have some bloodwork done just to rule out unseen health issues.....

My crew all get the Synovi G4 chewies...they go wild for them like they were treats.

Trader Joes makes a chewable glucosamine that our last generation of dogs found very tasty. It's a chewable tablet, but passed of as a treat for even a very cynical old corgi girl. As I recall they were competitively priced, too.

Thanks, everyone! I can help but notice that a LOT of these glucosamine/MSM supplements are "grainy dark-brown" whatevers - either cylinder or bone-shaped. Makes me wonder if some company extrudes the material; then everybody gets to put their own label and "spin" on the product?

I'll try the Joint Strong and mix it into something - maybe unflavored yogurt or cottage cheese?

AZPops - my beloved Ike would let me stuff a pill down his throat with no resistance (and I did for years). *Most* dogs have a nice gap behind their fang where you can slip your finger and tickle the roof of their mouth and they'll open up. Not Jack - he's all teeth. Sharp teeth/powerful jaws and he's not afraid to use them when he's freaking out. And the older and more senile he gets, the faster he freaks out.
