9 hours to mount tires at Jacksonville, FL Camping World

Stopped in on 4/10 to order new tires, Appointment was made for 0800 on 4/11. I showed up on time only to find out that they didn't actually have the gear to mount the tires but they contracted it out. At 10 am, I was told he would be there by 1130. At noon I was told 2 pm. The guy showed up in a mobile truck and finished after 5 pm. Not sure why my appointment was for 6 hours before the guy was scheduled to show up.

To add to the insult, they were closing the Beach Blvd location so there was an army of personnel moving things out (almost took my new tires) to the new store in N, Jacksonville. I really had to work to get somebody to answer my questions.

I won't be back!

  • I've bought tires from CW before and the did the mounting at the store in CA. This CW failed to accurately represent themselves. My point was the poor customer service at this specific CW in Jacksonville, FL
  • I recently purchased 4 tires from Discount Tire (national chain) and they were done in about 45 minutes. They included 1) great friendly service, 2) extended road hazard, 3) on the spot rebate, and 4) $100 pre-paid debit card sent to me 10 days later! This is my second purchase from them and won't be my last!
  • A national chain tire store would have locations all over the US and they would also mount the tires they sell right in there store.
  • Before you ask why I chose CW, we are full timers and I wanted someone with locations throughout the US. Price was higher than the discount stores but we went with warranty service. Bad choice!
