Anyone make a HD portable antenna to get directv

My thinking is to abandon the thought, no matter how easy the G2 is to set up, and continue to use my Slimline 3.

It seems a shame that someone does not come up with a method of converting whatever Directv does and to make a dish HD capable like a slimline 3 with a G2.

Think you misspoke. You said Dish; think you meant Direct. With Dish you can get HD with domes, but not direct.

Portable antennas come in two general classes.

Dome/cube, (Covered enclosed often automatic antennas)

And manual DISHES (Same as you have at home)

King Flex will not receive DirecTV HD, only SD. It receives Dish HD.

Go to Solidsignal.com ...the antennas will run about $70..get an app for your smart phone and you can aim it in a matter of just a few minutes...plus there is other things they will help you with to easily get setup...

OP, do a search by me using "SL3". You do not need the big slimline dish and a big tripod to get HD. Total cost less than $50 and much easier to store the smaller dish and small tripod.

Winegard G2 won't work. Slimline manual dish is your best best and by far the cheapest.

You'll need aiming equipment but that's another subject. I'll see how you react to these posts.
