Attach Iphone 4s to TV

Does anyone know if you can connect an iphone to a TV to watch a movie.

I have dishanywhere and would like to somehow watch it on my TV or a Laptop. Someone said something about propritary software.. don't know what that means.

    Look into an Apple TV box. That might help to do what you want.

    I know that Droids can do this, but iphone is what I'm having trouble with.

    Yes Dish has an app for dishanywhere for the iphone... I watch it on my phone but I'm trying to hook it up to the tv or laptop and it doesnt seem to work.
    Radio shack told me it was because of propritary software & I can jailbreak my phone but that will void the wattanty.

    My Droid has an HDMI out, your Iphone should too.

    Here's a cable for sale on Amazon clicky

    Pretty cheap and should do the trick.

    Is there a Dish App to download?
    I do it on my Droid regularly with the TV connected to my phone's HDMI output
