If you try to use the app, review your route VERY carefully. Doing 2 test routes in RV mode netted me some serious errors.
Routed me over a bridge that never existed, sent me over business 41 in Fl. rather than on 75, and sent me on the Balt.Wash. Parkway that is restricted to cars.
CoPilot went right to the Uninstall can.
Your results may vary.
ANY GPS can make those mistakes, they ARE NOT "INFALLIBLE".
It is why one should not depend solely on a GPS but use ones brains along with a maps and road signs.
All to easy to let the GPS box tell you what to do, then blame the GPS when something goes wrong..
The fact that these errors were so bad compared to other GPS units was the reason I mentioned it.
S&T 2011 & 2014, Google, Maps.ME,2 other free map apps and even TomTom did not have this mystery bridge or bizarre routing.
I did double check the settings.
ALL "GPS" units have "errors" of some sort, the "maps" are not "perfect" for ANY GPS..
And NO, I am not "condoning" the "issues" you "found" with CoPilot but it IS "the way it is"..
Think of GPS maps as a "work in progress" and YOU are the "beta" tester.
Heck, I am not impressed with the accuracy of CoPilot at my very rural home.. It typically places my home at least 1 mile away from the REAL physical location.. Sometimes in a church or store parking lot and often in a farmers field..
Not ALL GPS "maps" will have ever single square foot of the entire USA "mapped" 100% correct, 100% of the time.
Errors ARE there, and you "found" an error.. Did YOU bother to report this bunch or errors to CoPilot?
I doubt it since you came on here to blaze a trail of venting your frustration over a FREE (that's right a FREEEEEEEEE "APP")..
No, I am not "impressed" with GPS, and yes, my DW has CoPilot installed on her Tablet.. We take it with a grain of salt and it is more for "entertainment" value in our eyes.
We find that PLANNING our trips before we start using paper maps and even the use of Mapquest (FREE INTERNET MAPPING WEBSITE) we rarely have any issues finding our way to the destinations and hence the CoPilot GPS is along to entertain us as the miles click by..
