I bought a camera to use in an 18 wheeler after months of reading forums and reviews. I never installed it due to 12 volt difficulties. I will use it in our MH. Briefly here is what I learned from reading and examining some of the units in truck stops. There are no cameras under $60.00 that are worth having. These cheap units are just toys. No quality control, bad chips, flimsy mounts and lots of interference that can cause havoc with your stereo and GPS. The sellers of most cameras are in China. Some are very good while others ship you a cheap knock off and never respond to emails after the purchase. I decided that if it is worth having I wanted one that actually works. Here is what I bought:
Good Camera I did try it on a short shopping trip in my PU and the picture is great. The seller has an excellent reputation and he shipped it to Canada in less than a week. He marked it as a gift and I paid no duties! Cost including a 32G class 10 card was under $150.00. When shopping you have to be aware that some sellers will have cameras for say $30.00 that look like the $65.00 units. They are NOT. Lots of knock offs that use different electronics and cheap lenses. Amazon is the worst! Mostly junk. E bay can be a good source but you have to check the rep. of the seller.
