Direct TV receiver menu change?

I have a Directv dish (HD) that I use with my directv receiver. I have used it all over the west. I also use this receiver at home. Directv knows I carry it in my RV when on a trip. To make the dish compatible with the receiver, I have to use a B converter and change the satellite dish choices on the menu of the receiver. I simply follow the directions from satellite oasis which was the vendor of the dish. On a recent trip, I noticed that the drop down menu on the dish choices on the receiver box had changed. I assume the box downloaded something from Directv that created the menu change. Unfortunatley, I could not get the receiver to recognize the dish. Is anyone else having this challenge with a tripod dish and what is the fix? This is the slimline HD dish.
