Dish Address Change For RV Receiver

I have 2 Dish receivers at home and added one for the RV.
Is there anyway to have the RV IRD with a different address (where we are camping) than home IRD's? Dish rep says no. I could have sworn I read on here in the past how it was done so you could get locals.

  • "Dish Anywhere" is the option to view Dish programming via your Hopper receiver with a Sling adapter on your PC or mobile device using appropriate apps.
  • Unless you are paying for the Pay as you go PLUS for service in your house you cannot have 2 different receivers on the same account receiving different local programming.
  • I bought a receiver for the RV and pay $5/month. All I have to do is call Dish and tell them the zip code and the number on the RV receiver and they send a signal to just that receiver. Has no effect on the home receivers. Think the program is called "Dish Anywhere".
  • No is the correct answer unless you want to pay for 2 separate accounts. You just change them all to where your RV is so the RV will get locals. Anyone left at home is out of luck.
  • While on the road with a DiSH receiver, you can call DISH and have them change your Service Address to where you're camped.

This allows you to receive the local TV stations near where you are camped.

However, this will also affect your receiver back home -- which probably means your home receiver won't receiver local TV stations until you reset your Service Address.
