Dish antenna

I posted my question once but it appears the "system" ate it so I'm sorry about asking again. I have a exterior factory mounted satellite jack and its labelled satellite. I believe my dish antenna gets its power from the receiver to operate. Is the satellite jack wired to the cable/rf amplifier which is mounted in the bedroom? If it is I don't think I can use the dish antenna with this exterior jack, correct? I have a 2009 Heartland 3500SK Sundance. Thanks for your input.
  • You can connect the satellite antenna coax to that port marked Satellite and you then must find the other end of that connection and connect that directly to the receiver. It might be a wall plate with a coax connector or it might be a loose cable where ever the manufacturer planned for you to use a satellite receiver.
Heartland pre-wires their coaches for both roof top antenna and ground antenna connections but you can't use both options without changing some jumper cables.

Bill, that makes sence then. There is a second F type connector on a wall plate behind the dish receiver, I will "buzz" this connector out to see if it goes to the satellite connector on the camper exterior. Thanks for your input!
