What TechWriter wants or uses and what I want and use can vary dramatically. The reality is the the DNS Networks are going, going, gone for Dish customers. There certainly are options, but none are as convenient as the DNS option.
Let's look at this another way . . .
How Do RVers Receive Network Programming (ABC, CBS, etc) as They Travel?(1) OTA (Over-The-Air) programming (FREE) -- using a batwing or similar antenna to receive local TV stations.
This is an option for
both DISH & DirecTV users. However, it's not a dependable option as reception may be poor for some or all local stations.
(2) Local TV Stations via Satellite (FREE) -- getting local network programs through your sat antenna.
This is an option that's really
only available for DISH users. DISH lets you change the local TV stations
as you travel. DirecTV does not.
(3) East and West Coast programming ($$$) -- this is DNS (Distant Network Service).
This option is only available to DirecTV users.
So what network programming (ABC, CBS, etc) options do DISH and DirecTV users currently have?- For DISH users, local TV stations via sat. FREE.
- For DirecTV users, DNS. $$$.
