That is because the Componet connection is sending analog audio down the line, not digital.. So "Data Sync" is not an issue.
I do not know the cause of the issue.. But suspect the receiver (Sat box) is screwing up when in fast forward and dropping bits.. This is causing the problem.
True story back in the old days of analog TV.. We were at a campground's TV which had a bad audio amp.. Very distorted, Watching the Detroit Tigers win a World Series.. Finally I got tired of the crappy sound and said "I'll fix it" went back to my RV, got my Boom box. Tuned in Earnie Harwell on WJR and silenced the TV.
Perfect audio from WJR.. and from that day one most eveyone in the room watched baseball games while listening to the radio. At least till they fired Earnie.
