Epson versus Canon, pigment based inkjet printers

I bought an Epson Stylus N11 three years ago and have been well pleased with it. It's small so I can take it on the road with me. I chose Epson to two reasons 1) it was so cheap at Sam's. 2) I wanted the dye ink that will not wash out with water and I thought Epson was the only one that had dye ink. At home I generally use my non-color HP LaserJet 4,000 for most thing as it's toner is a lot cheaper than ink jet ink.
