The battery pack that the OP has is most likely a 12 volt lead acid gel-cell. A fully charged 12 volt lead acid battery should be around 12.7 volts. His 12.2 volt wall-wart will never fully charge it.
You are right. It's still fully charged and it's at 12.7 or so
