Either an iPad or android based tablet will be an easier device to use than a windows based anything especially for someone who has never used them before. Of the two my choices has been and continues to be the iPad. To me they are easier to setup, and have enough features to satisfy most users. Browse the web, read books from various sources, do online banking, play games, email, and so much more.
