Garmin RV760 and Dezl Lane Change Notification Too Short

Both give just 0.8 miles notification of the number of lanes and which ones you should be in. My Garmin 2460's and pickup truck give 2.5 mile notification. It makes a big difference when you have to move over several lanes at 65' length. I have been using the 2460's beside the RV760 so I get enough notice.

FWIW: I experienced that same thing when I bought my first Garmin.
As my right eye is weak, my wife actually watches the screen from the co-pilot seat and gives me directions, including what lane to be in.

It really is a lot easier that way, I don't have to try and read the screen, listen to that annoying voice in the box, and drive the rig at the same time. She often gives me lane information long before the box does.
  • Speed makes no difference. It doesn't break down the lanes until 0.8 miles. Frequently lanes are added on the right side; with little or no notice it gets sporty. I have both the RV760 & Dezl; I'm not real happy with a number of their limitations but do like most of it.

I talked with Garmin, they don't do the navigation software, Samsung or some other vender does. Some kid fresh out of software engineering college probably doesn't see the problem as his Prius can just zip on over.
  • Mine does the 8/10th of a mile too, but
On the top of the screen doesn't it show when the next turn way in advance?
