Headsets for intercom

The background-road noise in my 2014 ACE is too much for comfortable dialogue with my wife and or listening to the radio. I have a pair of noise cancelling headsets from my aviation days that I would like to use and be able to input music. Any ideas?
  • MY wife has a weak voice from MS. She amplifies her voice with a voice amplifier. You can google it. Works real good. Here is one for example.

Another cheap one with good reviews:

IMO: You won't get rid of the noise so the only solution is to make your voice louder.

What type of RV is an ACE? :?

If your RV is THAT loud inside that you can not hear the radio or someone sitting next to you something must be very wrong with your RV.
  • Wow! Just learned something new... I drove a fire truck for a lot of years, with headphones - to reduce exposure to those same sirens - and allow conversation and radio communication. We plotted strategy on the way to calls. Now I find out it's illegal in some states! Hmm, well not in NC where I live, so I didn't break the law. Dumb law I think... None of the headphone got close to canceling all of the noise.
  • Well if we all drove around in fire trucks you might possibly have a point. Don't you think it might be a good idea if the rest of the world can hear you screaming down the street code 3?

Frankly I'm amazed that a fireman of all people would think its a dumb law.
