How do I stop Microsoft 8.1 notifications?
I'm constantly getting this notice to update from 8.0 to 8.1. I don't know that 8.1 is a good thing. How do I disable the notices? THANKS!!!!

I've been a Mac user for about the last 4 years. I suddenly found that I needed Windows for a particular application not available in Mac. I partitioned the HD and loaded Windows. I can't believe the massive amount of updating, popups, very sneaky windows to lead you into other Windows programs that I don't want. What a cluttered up mess. I don't remember Windows as being such a cluttered mess in years past. There has to be something that other Windows users are doing to be able to navigate in the Windows environment.
