We have a dumb cell phone so this won't work. - lynndiwagonExplorerLike a few others.....Mr. Number app.
- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIWe have a FL phone number so most of the calls we receiver have a FL area code. I suspect they all spook what every area code and number they are calling to make it look more legit.
- 1492ModeratorNone of the smartphone apps are perfect for blocking unwanted calls. I get automated telemarking scam calls only occasionally. Though tend to originate from the same area code/exchange. So use Call Blocker, which allows wildcard blacklists. Subsequently, created a filter for 170386? which blocks all calls from 703-86x-xxxx. Works the majority of times, though not always.
- Larry-DExplorer IIStarting this past January I stopped answering calls from a number or entity I didn't recognize and/or not in my list. Some calls still go to voice mail and its a robocall. If a legit voice mail is not left I block the number. Since Jan. the number of robocalls has dropped to maybe one a day.
- campinginthewooExplorerI use Hiya app it's free thru the play store and works well
- wnjjExplorer IIAfter getting daily spam calls from the Red Cross on our land line, I played a YouTube video of the “do do de... the number you have dialed is no longer in service” into the phone. No more calls after that. It may work for a cellphone too if the robo dialers don’t know if it is one. It couldn’t hurt to try.
- SDcampowneroperExplorerWe have overnighted at 2 1000 trails parks the last 3 winters. The robo calls from them do not stop, they use what appears to be local numbers, so even when we request they remove us from their call list they shift to another phone #
While we enjoyed our overnight in those parks, we will not go to another simply to distance ourselves from the recruitment robo calls. - cpu266Explorertry nomorobo - we use it on our iphones and home phone lines.
