And you may see the short on several different coaxes if they are connected somehow like the batwing panel or AV switches, etc. So be sure that you are isolating to the same coax. Also I'm not use how this technique will work if a splitter is connected which is common in RVs.

I use a 9 volt battery I connected a piece of coaxial cable to. Connect it and stick the tip of my tonged on the other ends... Zappp! this one, works every time. lol
